Need help finding a discontinued toy! PLEASE help

When was the last time it was made and available on the US market?
Both of my contacts have nothing or brought up nothing on their both very extensive network of dealers.

Last I read was 2002 or so. That's why they're so difficult to find, it may be one of those things you'd just see at a yard sale.
I have asked my friend and she said she will look around but no promises. Apparently she knows this toy very well, and I am out of the loop on kid toys
. Just trying to help a fellow svtp'er out as well as a fellow father. I would do anything for my kids.
That is what my 2 dealer friends said, either yard sale or pawn shop most likely.

Where did your son find out about this toy? Do they have multiple where you could maybe buy one from them? Or maybe they know where they found it and can help point you in the right direction.
I did a nationwide, Canada, and Mexico search through Craigslist, eBay and Amazon using search tempest and came up with diddly squat unfortunately. There's got to be one of these toys out there somewhere! Good luck on the search OP, hopefully someone here will pull through and locate one for you!

I know that you said that it had to be this exact model and I get why as your kid saw the Tomy version first, but this is the closest thing I have found that is still being made. No offense intended by suggesting something different, just posting what I've found! Cheers!

How did your son find out about the toy? I love rare toy shops. There were some great ones where I grew up in PA. I would check around to see if there are any rare toy shops in your area if you can't find anything on the web. Best of luck OP!
I will take a look up here in Calgary. We have quite a few specialized toy stores with some huge floor inventory.

Jason, I really hope it works out for your son and that person still has what you are looking for. I had my wife read over this thread as well and she is very touched that all of us car guys could come together in need for a child. Shows there is still humanity in the world.
