This is the way it works, The person building on each engine is the first name on the tag. The runner (or support) person is the second name on the tag. Builder means that person runs all of the fastening tools and does all of the torquing on the parts fasteners and does the critical characteristic gaging (front seal, rear seal, crank slinger, etc.). Runner (or support) sets up all of the parts and assists installation of all of the parts as well. Crank, piston and rod assemblies, heads, front cover, cam covers, blower, etc, require 2 people to install. They switch positions on every other engine. This way all of the builders know the entire engine. Build and support. How the fasteners look and feel, how the parts look and feel, how all of the joints look and feel as the parts are installed and torqued.
Thats awesome, Keep up the fine quality work. Thanks also for telling us how the operation works.
:)

Doug Campbell and RJ Kreiner. Both retired from Ford now. I love all of the engines but the Terminators have a special spot in my heart. If you haven't seen it yet, check out the book "Iron Fist, Lead Foot". It is the story of the Terminator build and the mountain of issues we had to make that car fly!! Cool stuff!!

Thanks, HP....

I am the original owner of my '04 and always wondered what the second builder name was.

I have been planning the get the IFLF book for a while now.

All of the builders are aware now. Chad Wolak is the one that mentioned this forum to me. That is when I registered. Hopefully more of the builders will get on here soon. It is Mustang season and we are working a ton of hours. Along with family, it makes it tough to spend time. Thank you from the whole team for all of the nice comments!

Very cool, so any insight on how much power they can really handle/make? Or any cool durability stories you can share? I'm looking forward to see who made mine in a few days.

There are a lot of Youtube videos of these cars showing up on chassis dynos and drag strips now. I don't think we have any issues with durability at all until folks start the search for more power. We have seen a couple of really cool grenades created by the aftermarket tuners pushing them over the edge! Engines seem pretty safe up to about 750 then you probably would want to think about a different set of rods. Pistons would probably go a little farther than that. Check out Sean Hyland's website. He is working on 1000Hp right now. Shelby is making it with either Eagle or Manley rods and pistons. Bottom line, throw some really good bolt ons at em, a good, SAFE, Cal at em, and drive em like you stole em!:burnout:

New "Trinity" motor is built by one man only. The second signature is his assistant. The Assistant helps 2 different builders on two motors at the same time, so he actually signs twice as many motors as the builder does.

Mine built by John Divo fwiw, I just sold my E63 to buy this car and over at the MB forums they used to try and figure out which builders built the best (most consistent hp and longevity) motors to try to find cars with motors built by those guys next time.

My engine was built by Larry Nichiow & Mark Schuman. It looks like the teams change from time to time as I've seen Larry Nichiow paired with another builder??

This can actually can happen pretty often as people take days off for vacation or whatever. The teams stick together but everybody has to take a vacation day or 2 once in a while!!
