Every mod I do to my car I keep in mind the fact that it is a full time daily driver that is driven a lot, and driven hard. That said, what's the best/most reliable S/C for me to get?

Vortech?

Kenne Bell?

Procharger?

Paxton?

Whipple?

Etc?

I'm guessing my car is somewhere around 410+ whp with my current dialed in tune by Gus at Steeda, but the new found power got boring quickly...I'm used to my 550+ whp S/C'd Vette so that's probably why. So who's running DD Coyotes with S/C's and what do you suggest I get? Thank you

P.S.-I'm new to this forum, but I've been on another Stang forum for a while.

I daily drive a Paxton, 600+ hp and it feels stock til you put your foot in it, very linear power curve and dependable.

Thanks for posting about DD'ing the Paxton...I'm leaning heavily toward it because of that awesome beef deal...Just wanted to get real world opinions on it and the other options...

How are engine temps in stop/go traffic and 92 deg FL heat with the Paxton setup? High temps are a big concern for me...

I drive a 600rwhp paxton blown 5.0 and you can't tell a difference between my car and a stock 5.0 under 3k which my car barely ever goes over when daily driving. I have ridden in a tvs blown 5.0 and tbh it didn't feel very much different. Everyone talks about them having so much torque down low but i didn't feel it personally. My Paxton makes plenty or torque down low. I already have 13k miles on it and i drive it all the time.

Im a Kenne Bell fan. They take up less room by replacing the upper intake and they reach full boost at a lower RPM then other style Superchargers. I installed one on my sons 2001 Bullitt and 10,000 miles later no issues other then bald back tires.

Where in Fl are you?? Im in Pembroke Pines. I wanted to get a Paxton at first, but I personally love the down-low torque that the TVS's make. I didnt see if you are AT or MT, but in my Auto, I have seen what the Roush has done on VMP's car and I am leaning towards that route for the tq, appearance, and the fact that I can keep my front CS bumper/fogs in tact. My reasons have NOTHING to do with any "bad" things regarding the Centri...I owned a Vortech in my 94 and loved it. I just like the Roush all around for what I like.

I highly suggest if you go Paxton route though to talk to Terry @Beefcake racing as he will talk with you and work with what you need. As mentioned, ALL are great options in the car with the tunes, and your choice may be based on things that dont relate to other's reasons. For expandability down the line, the centri may be your best option with a built motor.

Blowers? More factory cars come turbo charged :) Thems reliable, too. Lol
My particular kit will have the lowest inlets on the market guaranteed. Also comes with many other things you may want down the line that blower kits don't have. Headers, kmember, tubular core support, 3in O/R pipe, & a sheet metal expansion tank that doesn't leak. Doesn't have the instant hit of a PD blower. But from about 3k and up, makes a lot more torque down low. 600ft/lbs to the tire on 91 and 8.5psi!! I could be bias though. :)

Centrifugal blowers are ok but really require a gear change which can hurt you MPG as it is DD that may or may not be important to you. Also if you take long trips with a loud exhaust you could dislike the gear change also. You might like the blower whistle all the time or you may get tired of it.

PD- The TVS is going to offer better fuel economy over the Twin screws and less heat at closed throttle and cruising situations. (Due to TS compressing the air all the time).

Between the Whipple and Kenne Bell I've started to lean towards the Whipple simply because of the ease of maintenance. Sight glass and oil changes. They will make a lot of power with plenty of room to grow.

I'd probably go either TVS or Turbo personally.

Super chargers = TVS or another PD Blower setup.

Wounder why ford does not use any centrifugals on an OEM setup.

Kenne Bell 2.8LC here on mine, you wouldn't know it was there until you put your foot in it, both sound and power, and the tech support from KB is stellar!
