Just curious do you and Kdanner have a website?
If so stay on it.
If not just stop posting here and start one.

Don't like what I have to say then put me on ignore. IDGAF. What you aren't going to get from me or kdanner is some bias bullshit. Not claiming this of Shaun however kdanner has been running this for months on a Roadrunner and we have a pretty good idea what it does and doesn't do...so does Ford Racing.

If you have nothing to add then why reply.

Don't know my 60ft, all I know is 6.997 1/8th and 10.96 @121.5

I didn't get a timeslip so I'm going back and doing it again.

How do you know the times without a timeslip or video? Was someone watching the scoreboard during the run?

What date/time was this at what track?

What additional mods were done to the car outside of the waterpump?

I know my car back-half's better then your's so not sure how getting a .003 better 1/8th equates to a .04 better quarter vs. the 11.00 pass I made. Your 60' would have to be better than a 1.55 as well.

Sure would like to see the timeslip.....

Kind of interested in some info on the cars setup as well. Congrats on getting in the 10's Shaun. Seeing how well these cars move with little power makes you wonder how far you can get one n/a with some heavy engine work.

Timeslip computer was shut down during my run. I was on my 4th hot lap after turning 7.02's and 11.01's, they let me have one more pass but I was 30 seconds too late to get a slip or even have the tower computer record the run. All I have are witnesses and the 11.01 slips. Sucks, but that's how thing happen sometimes. I'll be back at it soon and get my timeslip and a video.

Best prior 60ft of the night was 1.54.
Girodisc brakes and Meziere water pump were the only additional mods. I even re-installed my front sway bar as I do not like street driving without it and didn't see any benefit to having it removed at the track.

Congrats to 93Pony On His New Best!!! - Northern California Ford Owners

I'm curious as to the DA/track conditions on the 10.88 pass. Yours was done in the heat of the summer. I bet once pristine conditions come around again, I bet you've got it in the bag.

I'm a bit concerned it'll take till Fall to dip back into the 10's actually.

I love the DragTimes app on my phone. It gives you instant DA based on your GPS location (or track if saved) and Wunderground.com weather info. It is nice to make a pass and record the data right away on the time slip. You can look up past weather conditions and DA as well.

Plus it does the usual other calculators like HP based on mph and weight, 1/8th to 1/4 ET conversion, mph vs. gear ratio and tire height and so on.

Depends on location. Some places the local weather station only updates hourly and in some cases the air can change a good bit in an hour. It's a handy quick and dirty cheap app, but if you want accurate data you really need your own weather station.

we have a nice weather station on the big trailer that samples minute by minute, it includes wind direction and everything

it's a great tool for accurate data

That is true on the update times. By our tracks we are lucky enough to have airports near by. So we get quick updates on Wunderground.

I agree a weather station at the track is going to be the most accurate. And a $200+/- weather station is nice if you are real serious class/bracket racing. But overkill for most people just test & tuning their daily driven efi cars. The app is handy for quick reference. No one really accepts corrected times anyways. For me it is just nice to be able to compare passes through out the day or even from other days. Especially for $1.99 or free.

Yes this is the way to go. Especially if you're running any kind of class with a breakout, the weather stations that keep sending updates to a pager to keep you informed when you can't get back to the trailer.
