Mgw>steeda. Have/had both.

OP if you wanna drive leisurely like a 60-70 year old, then the MGW is for you, however, if you wanna slam through the gears as fast as you can without worrying about missing third gear, then the Steeda Tri-Ax is for you.

I've had both.

I used to have a Tri-Ax a few years ago, and after buying into the hype of the MGW, I ditched my Tri-Ax for it. Shortly after, I slammed into 1st gear at 70+ mph instead of 3rd while racing a 6.0L GTO (I was winning btw), and you can imagine the carnage.

I sold the MGW and went back to a Tri-Ax.

had steeda for years in both my '00 gt and '04 mach. when i got the cobra, i regretted not having the mgw in past cars. mgw is the best ive ever used in a 99-04. i had the silver "race" handle btw.

this is silly, i didnt miss anymore gears with the steeda than i did with the mgw, which wasnt often.

The only thing that I don't like about my mgw is that it isn't sealed. Sometimes the trans fluid will work its way through the grease in the shifter and end up in my car. Then I have to pull the shifter, take it apart, and repack it with grease.

I had a B&M Ripper on a T-45, an MGW on a 3650 and a T-56. A buddy has a Triax on his T-56. It shifts pretty good, but it's noisy compared to my MGW. I like my MGW the best.

I had the steed tri-ax in my GT and loved it. The shifts were on point and I dont remember ever missing a shift. Either one would be fine im sure.

I have all a Tri-axe, BMR, Pro 5.0 and a MGW in my car. By far the MGW is the very best ever. The steeda sucked. I hated it .I have never put it in 1st while racing. Likely its because im not retarded.

If you want a notchy shifter that will give you trouble hitting 3rd gear get a Triax. If you want a quality shifter that will hit the gear you want at all times get a Pro 5.0. I've had both on my TR3650 and the Triax couldn't come close to a Pro 5.0. When I put a T56 in it came w/ a Pro 5.0 and I've never missed a gear with that setup either.

Never used MGW.

Just put in my tri-ax. Love this shifter. If you miss 3rd you need lessons. Coming out of 2nd it goes right into 3rd with no help needed.
