my bad did not know,

i have the m&h dot front runners on greg weld 17*4.5 and 16*7 pnys back with hooser qtp 26*9.5

got them from leathal performeance.

so does it matter if u run the dot, or drag radilals front runners up front as far as driving on the street or to the track and back?

I used to dd my fox with skinny pennies. You'll have no issues with either, I would just limit the rear tires for just cruising around....more wear than needed.

Bias-ply fronts don't exist. All front runners are a radial style construction. The purpose of a bias ply is to allow for wrinkling of the sidewall to aid in traction, and the absolute last thing that you would want the front tires' sidewall to do is wrinkle or distort.

That's not to say that all front runners are DOT approved for road use, but they all use a radial construction.

Where did you hear that? That statement was false. Many manufacturers make bias-ply front runners. They reduce weight and rolling resistance.

Look at the warning under the picture on this page:

All of the above info is false. Bias plys very much do exist, and are what MOST people run as fronts on their 2.5-4.5" front wheels. Bias plys are not "designed" for wrinkling, however they do "wrap up" or "wrinkle" which is where your traction comes from. A bias constructed tire is always much lighter than a radial construction, which is why most use them as front runners. I don't know where the above poster got his information, but please ignore it if you're in the market for a front tire.

quick q

i see a lot of you guys are running a slick out back with a radilal front runner skinnys.

i though you were suppsoed to run bias ply on both, or does it matter, as far as sway etc..

what setup is better if u drive to the track and back 100 mile or so round trip?

thanks,

John

I run a radial front and a softsidewall ET DRAG out back. Feels as is the rear sways a little bit, but nothing that has ever had me concerned. With a bias ply front you can feel a little sway up front as well when letting off the gas.

Anyone have any ideas on what wheel closely matches a machined face 03/04 but in a 15" diameter? I'd LOVE to try and keep a look going when swapping them out.

Great looking setups all around, btw.

I'll contribute as well... here's my old setup

Here is my buddy's 03 with Centerline Qualifiers. 17x4 up front and 15x10 in the rear. Car makes about 800hp to the tires with a lil twin screw. :coolman:

Those qualifiers look awesome! And I bet it's not exactly a "little" twin screw if it's at 800rwhp. Haha
