66speed. I liked the page and support your cause. The base we came from I trained with a lot of firedogs (Air Force Fire Fighters) and can tell you right now, 99% of them are great guys who are doing it to help others. I am biased in a way against the police force, I won't call them out on it, I give them praise for their work when it is just, but I have no negative views towards a fire fighter. It is a dangerous profession that sometimes, sadly, results in injury and death and deserves in NO WAY to have their budget cut. What is happening here is wrong. Unemployment is continuing to rise due to loss of government funding, in fact, it has gone up 9% in the last month alone. I hope you do not end up in that percentile, I was for 5 months :nonono:.

yep, i know that. but if you guys abuse sick time by calling off sick so your buddy can be paid double time to cover your shift, and vice versa, like Vegas FD then i would stand by the cutbacks. i said IF.
I like to think we have a little more integrity than that, and I'm willing to bet it's a small group of guys in LVFD that are actually doing that. Thanks for your generalizations and quality input.
