I'll keep you guys updated. I actually put a new fuel filter in not long ago and the car is probably driven 4500 miles at year at most. Guess if I go fill up I may add some lucas octane booster too

I seriously doubt if it's bad gas.
There are no knock sensors to tell the PCM to retard timing, it would just go ahead and ping.

I think you need to get a handle on this data logging it is an incredible tool.

Even if you don't figure out the pass through method to use your lap top you could always just jot down the results and post them up later.

MAF counts and voltage
Fuel pump duty cycle
IAT2s

You should be able to get the SCT software updates(downloads) here with the device serial number. They would load onto your PC. Also you can ask them there about using the device as a pass through for a lap top.

If I update the device would it erase my tune stored in it? I'm getting the live link software right now.

So those are the only 3 things I should monitor when I log?

I don't think updates will wipe your tune, besides LiveLink is PC software not Xcal software.

I have not done that much logging, so I am less qualified than many other guys on here to advise which parameters to log.

Those are the ones I can currently think of, that if they are off, could cause your symptoms.

Hopefully some of our more experienced data loggers will post up and help you out.

Ok I did some with the handheld and pausing it right around where it starts to happen this is what I get:

MAF voltage - invalid
IAT - 84
RPM - 4248
MAF counts - 872
FPDS - 0.45
Speed - 46

Hopefully that can help

I didn't rev past 45xx but if you need an info of lower rpms lmk

Checked the voltage at the battery at idle with the ac on max, radio up and both sets of lights on and read 14.1.

It hasn't been touched. I've logged before but don't remember if it said valid. It's not like I have another to slap on and see if that helps so I'm not sure what to do. I mean the counts seemed to read right just not sure on that voltage.

Ok got it out today haven't touched a thing. At first in 1st gear it seemed to be fine, had a 1/4 tank of gas so I figured I'd putt it out and get some good 93. I got a full tank of 93 with Lucas octane booster and it seems to be cutting out more than just being a dog. Here's what I logged after I got gas.

MAF CNT - 984
RPM - 6044
Speed - 67
Pwr- 12.94
ECT - 178*

Guess I'll change the fuel filter tomorrow and see if that helps. Should the pwr drop that low?

Still having the issue. Changed the fuel filter and plugs. One plug didn't look so hot but after being replaced it's still doing the same thing. Building boost but hesitating or just being a dog. Idles and cruises perfectly fine.

I'll play, belt slipping? If it is driving fine otherwise, gas mileage ok, are you watching the boost gauge? If you only have the stock overlay, it may jump up and you are only getting 10 psi or so.
