I'm pretty sure that it is two different animals. The most astonishing thing is the fact that it has an adult deer in it's mouth. It is legal to hunt them, ya know. So I would guess that the picture of the dead one was from a nuisance animal or one that had been killed via a hunting permit. Come on guys, use your brains.

only way ill believe it is if a picture is posted of a 4ft+ alligator skull...cause i kno some1's ass kept that skull if they did really kill it
Not a single one of those pictures shows an alligator that is 28 feet long. At best they are half that.
