Was randomly paired up with a 2012-2013 ZL1 at the track. Thought I was going to get pulled, but he ran a 12.99 with a 1.9x 60' to my 12.7 with a 1.8x 60'. The guy couldn't believe I was only a light bolt-on car. Watched him make two more passes and he ran slower, something in the 13.3-13.4 range. He was bone stock except DR on the back. My mods are boss intake, CAI, X-pipe, e85 and DR. DA that day was in the 7000ft-7500 range.

It's just a good feeling to beat a car with 100 more RWHP. He's lucky because I usually trap 113ish was off my game that pass.

Good kill and not surprising at all, really I can't remember seeing them beat any cars. Just a over hyped bat mobile to me, friend of mine had one and got tired of being beat on so he traded it in.

For a 6.2ltr supercharged V8 that cost $50,000.00 they sure aren't much of a terror on the street or strip. Nice kill.

Good kill.

That car doesn't have 100 more rwhp than you tho. I've read stock they're in the 480 range. I'm assuming you're close to 440 with the E85?

I run e85 for peace of mind, but it only put down 409 RWHP. I dont have that much faith in that number, because the car out runs similarly modded gas 5.0s.

ZL1's just don't impress me. Theres an auto ZL1 down at my track that runs worse times and speeds than I did with my stock '11 gt500. I thought it was supposed to be faster than that era of shelby's.

There was a pullied, cai and exhaust 2011 gt500 running a 13.4 at 112-114 mph for comparison.

My friend and his 550rwhp Whippled Terminator couldn't break into the 11's, consistent 12.5-12.6. Most of us suck at the track.

That's pretty shitty. I have the same motor in my cts-v and weigh more but consistently ran 12.2's stock at the track on a 90+ degree day.

aren't they some na and some sc ? and yea some shitty numbers foe sure lol

All ZL1's are supercharged and most typically run in the mid to high 12's on average. Good track prep and great air, they'll dip into the lower 12's and if lucky, touch 11.9X.

I watched a convertible run an 11.8 to my 12.8 last time I was at Bradenton. No idea what was done to it but it had a tire at least. I was disappointed I lost that run, but I was finally able to get my bone stock, all-season tire running ass into the 12's... I might have kept up a little better with a tire.

With our elevation here in the rockys those are stout times for stockish cars. DA was 7000 ft that day.

ZL1 needs a driver mod. Theyre low 12 second cars. Nice run though man.

Edit: How the **** did it only trap 107?

My 02 SS trapped 112 with bolt-ons. That thing should be in the low 120's.
