Your experience - Same mods - same track - you run street tires compared to slicks?

I would like to see the difference in numbers that you did

Lightnings around 400rwhp would be great...

Thank you,

André

i put down 402/523 and i dont spin at all with DR's. My best so far is 12.93 @ 104mph. My 60 foots are 1.88-1.86. I wouldnt mind slicks/skinnies but i am on a budget.

13.00 on DR and 12.8 on slicks. Should hit 12.6 this weekend easily. (crosses fingers)

It takes a lot of power to turn a heavy tire with only a few pounds of air in them. I run better on slicks because with my power i cannot hook a DR. My MHP is better tho with the DR's. For your power level the best option would be the MT DR's.

Do they make them in 20's? Because Andre is gonna need em. I guess he could use two of those old 18's that are sitting in his garage for race day.

When I was at 400/500 slicks were night and day than DR's (unless you buy MT's, which will only last you 5k miles anyways)

But my Hoosiers on 16" rims compared to my nitto 555r's on my stock 18's were not even close.

I was netting horrible 60's, usually around 2.0-2.2
Put on the hoosiers and dropped to 1.7 60'

the launch is everything for these trucks.... Well that and power of course, lol...

Thanks for the infos!

So i think i will take a look for some 18" Nitto DR´s.....

It´s bad tha we can´t get the nice things in germany.....

For the strip i would put the Nittos on some 18" wheels.
