Steeda / CAI / Dyno tune (local guy) / Lethal off road H and Kooks AB's / 125 shot Wilson Kit / LCA's / Stock 3.15's / 26 inch ET Streets.

Best time 11.145 @ 126 mph 1.7 60ft

Car would shift into 4th right before the traps on spray. I thought with this gear / tire combo it would stay in top of 3rd?

I had a slight accident and had to replace the reared and bought one with a 3.31 in it and did an UCA at the same time. I really wanted to do 3.73 for more street driving fun but keep reading 3.31 is the best choice. I am thinking if my current combo shifts into 4th right before then the 3.31 will still not have me in a sweet spot at the traps. Trying to refrain from going to a 28" tire as the 26" fit so nice in the trunk / back seat lol.

I plan to return to the track soon and will see what it does just wanted opinions. I no doubt should be seeing 10's already and I don't want to do a converter.

?? is ,,, if you are running a 26 inch tire at the track, you are already 1.5 inches shorter than stock, which 1.5 inches of tire is a lot, with spray stay with the 3.31 and go to a 27.5 to 28 inch tire.

I think if you go to a 3.73 with a 26 inch tire @126mph you will finish in 5th gear

My times in my sig. Are with 3.73s. I didn't run the car on nitrous with the 3.15s but it picked up a little over a tenth on motor with the gear swap. I mainly did the 3.73s for street driving. Even if it didn't help any it was worth it to me for the feel alone.

Run it with the 3.31's and the 26" tires...should work fine. I ran the times in my sig with the stock 3.15's and a 26" tire and the 3.31's should work slightly better.

you are not going to be able to stay in 3rd with any tire and a 3.31 gear. you will hit the stripe at 6200rpm in 4th with the 3.31's and that is fine although 3.55's would probably be optimal putting you at 6700.

dont 4.10 work really good on the auto? i would imagine that it will put you at around 7k at the stripe in fourth.
