Curious,

I keep hearing bad tings about the XXR 531s, but I don't see why. they are less priced, know. But I mean I also don't have 5K on a set of CCWs.

any thoughts on XXR wheels?

Gonna have the wheel purists, but I had XXR wheels on my 350z, and I got compliments all the time. It fit on the car, looked good, and didn't fall apart driving down the road. Good with me

that's my thought as well.. Im looking at 9.5 in front and 11 in back. I seen many Termi owners state no issues at all with that size. not even with the IRS bolts or lowering it. so that maybe my route.

I had no issues with mine. I had the xxr 521s. 18x10 on all 4 corners. I loved the way they look and so did everyone else. I get bored with wheels really quick, so id rather spend 600 on a set than 4-5k...

However I do plan on getting a high end set for the mystichrome when its time.

Im in the same dilemma. I cant afford the CCW's, and the XXR's look almost the same except the XXR's dont have the bead lock or whatever it is look that CCW's have.

*Also the notch back in my sig has XXR 531's that looked pretty good.

I want to get the R888 315 for the back, but they are only made in 315x30.. id like to have 315x35x18 back and 275x35x18 in front. keep the wall the same size.

Gotta realize the side wall ration is just that, a ratio of the width of the tire. a 315/35/18 is over an inch taller than a stock 275/40/17. A 315/30/18 is .3" shorter than the stock 275/40/18.

A good site to be able to visualize this is here https://tiresize.com/calculator/

With all that in mind, I think (and this is personal opinion) a 315/35/18 fits the rear the best and gives the car a little rake. That paired with a 275/35/18 is what I plan to run.

Rear tire size, and type is a hot topic for these cars since there aren't too many options. To get the 315/35/18 I want, I have to get a drag radial...which isn't exactly what I want, but I suffer a little from form/function.

Side walls won't be the same. You need to use a tire calculator.

35 is a % ratio of the width, not an actual height.

With those sizes, fronts will be 25.6" tall, 10.8" wide and a side wall of 3.8"

Rears, 26.7" tall, 12.4" wide and side wall of 4.3".

To make them both 26.7" tall with 4.3" side walls, 275/40R18 in the front.

My car is 275/40R17 and 315/35R17.

That's 25.7" tall, 4.3" side wall and 10.8/12.4" wide f/r

Your wheels will be 1" taller.

Tire Rack has R888's in 305/35R18 for $298.13 each.

Falken RT615K 295/40R18 for $331/ea

You can get M/T ET Streets for $300 in 345/35R18 or 305/35R18 for $320.

There UHP Street Comps are only $250 for 295/35R18.

If you want to go real cheap, you can get 245/275 Riken Raptors for like $90/ea.

Im wanting to go towards the R888. I would love the 315s but I been looking at the 305s since they are 35x18 for the back. I checked out the tire calculator. that thing is awesome.
my thought was NT555R 275 for front. or the Nt05.

tire calculator says if I go 305x35, I should go 275x40x18 apparently they are a hair off from each other. in Diameter, sidewall and circum. well circum is .1 off. but bad still..
