Does anyone use the "Pypes" x pipe? How is it? It's pretty cheap on ebay...

I've also got a '69 Firebird and the classic community absolutely suares by Pypes exhaust.

Mustang exahust isn't hugely complicated and it's been around long enough that most people can make a pretty quality product. I wouldn't be worried about it.

I have the UPR o/r x pipe which I beleive is the same as the pypes. It sounds mean as hell and fits good. I believe you can get it from UPR for about $140

I perfer a catted pipe due to the gas smell and I a have no mufflers. I think it would be to loud with no cats, what do you guys think?

It'll likely still be quite loud with an aftermarket mid-pipe. If you are worried about emissions or that gas smell then definitely get a catted pipe.
