Anyone tried this? I'm still doin a search on which exhaust setup to choose, but has anyone done that? My exhaust is stock but the previous owner welded on 40 series muffler. Would it fit correctly, and if so, any sound clips anywhere? I'm just wondering if that would work out, plus itd save me money to put towards something else, thanks!

search and see if you agree but a cat back will give you a better gain than an x pipe. most of the restriction in these cars is in the cat back. changing mufflers does change sound and some what opens up the flow but not as much as going from stock (2.25") to a 2.5" mandrel bent aftermarket system.

I'd suggest a good cat back then later do the x-pipe.

Get a catback before you spend money on a midpipe.... It would fit fine but you'll get more power from getting a new catback system. Good rule of thumb is to work from the back to the front when it comes to exhaust components.
