i was wanting to put offroad x pipes on but i was wondering how emissions work. would it pass if i just put the stockers back on before i took it to get tested and then after just put the non catted ones back on. I didnt know if your cpu records data and stores it or if it just reads it and doesn't save it. in other words would the technician be able to see that i had just put cats back on. Sorry if this makes no sense but it is late and i am having problems wording what i am trying to say. any response would be appreciated

if you put your stock h-pipe on before the smog test you will be fine... even if the computer DOES save that info... the tests i don't think are THAT extensive.... more than likely they just hook a hose up to the tail pipe and read your emissions... at least that's how they do it here in cali....
