WTT: (NY) 2006 Evolution for Cobra coupe

2006 Mitsubishi Evolution (evo) GSR IX
57k miles
5 Speed
Clean title

The run down:
My brother purchased this car in 2008 with 17k miles. did basic bolt on mods and kept the car in unreal condition. In 2012 he sold the car to his brother-in-law. Who did absolutely nothing to it, besides oil changes. He put 10k miles on it and a bunch of small aesthetic flaws (some scuffs on the bumpers and around, car still presents itself really well. i would say 8 of 10 exterior)

I purchased the car with intent to go nuts and have my dream evo. And it basically is. However, i kind of realized that i already had an evo and an sti so i yearn for something else.

I recently dumped a ton of money into maintenance and modifications:

Recently (500 miles):
FP Black turbo with complete install kit and feed line
Muse o2 dump
Kelford 272 cams
GSC No-Tic lifters
Buschur ported manifold
TIMING BELT AND WATER PUMP w/balance shaft belt
Competition single sprung clutch
Denso Spark plugs
Brad p\Penn oil
DW 300lph fuel pump
Precision 1200 injectors
ARP Head Studs
ARP Wheel Studs
Tial Q bov
Map sensor
Speed density tune and all work done by E spec in deer park. I have receipts for the parts i ordered through him and the labor.

AMS Intercooler
ETS lower intercooler piping
Buschur exhaust
Metal shifter bushings

Suspension:
Swift springs
H&r sways
Braided lines
ATE Blue Fluid
Hawk Pads
oem evo wheels with snow tires

Exterior:
JDM vii tails
JDM ix bumper
35% tint
jdm rain gaurds

Interior
AEM wideband
boost and oil press stewart warner gauges
Seat lowering brackets
Alpine head unit with blue tooth and mp3
Blox weighted shift knob

This car may not be everyone's style here on SVTPerformance. However, if you like raw, no frills, pure badass sedan that can drive to the store in a blizzard, run a low 11 sec pass (havent tried yet but tuner said it would trap 124-125), compete in autox and HPDE track events then you can respect an import.

This car is a blast to drive and very reliable i just dumped a ton of money into it but would really like a cobra. I would not sell this car for less than 25,000 with the enkeis and oem wheels and 23,000 without. So i expect trades of equal value or lesser plus cash.

Enkei wheels are not included. But can be negotiated.

Great looking car.

That fp black is a beast for a stock frame turbo.

Looking for a more stock Cobra or mods ok?

The black is a great turbo. A lot of people set them to kill mode and make 550+ and with e85 can do 600. Mine is tuned conservatively. You can run a smaller turbo and yield similar numbers but then the high tq spike puts many driveline and internal components at risk. This setup is ideal for fun and longevity, it's currently a beast on the street.

I am just looking for the right deal. I'd go for a cobra with some mods. I'm not particularly dead set on moving on, just really want to try a cobra!

Lol, not sure what you mean. Erkel is the man. I am very picky about who tunes my cars. Erkel gets my business for his customer services, honesty and quality of work. Car drives perfect, spot on AFRs under all conditions, 0 knock, and a conservative timing curve. I know he didnt have the best rep 5 years ago, but a lot has changed so please do not bash my thread or car with your misinformation.

I've never heard of a tuner that someone doesn't have something bad to say about. Nature of the beast.

Love the car dude. I was dead set on an AS IX for a while, but I decided to stay with Mustang's so I'm saving for a Cobra now. I bet that car is one fun car to drive though with the Black, that turbo is the shit. It would easily run an 11, all day. Car's are amazing man, GLWS I'd buy it if I could lol. Should keep it and do a 2.3, 6262 build and destroy. Ultimate goal for me when I get an Evo right there, FF 6262 is the tits.
