WTB: Affordable daily driver

Hi all, I've seen a few other people ask around and they seemed to have some luck so thought I'd throw it out there:

A friend of mine is in the market for a decently reliable daily driver to replace her completely clapped out Cavalier. She's looking to spend around $3000, but can go as high as $5000. She would prefer a sedan, something that gets okay fuel economy. She's not being too picky beyond that.

If any of you know of anything that might fit her needs that is for sale locally (we are both in Annapolis), please let me know!

As usual, my 02 passat 1.8t with 137k on the clock is forsale. Just got some new body damage after a guy hit the car while parked. So without that fixed: $3500.
