When you get one, do you get copy? Or does it just get entered into the system?
and how long would it stay in the system?

Our written warnings get entered into our in-house system and tracked depending on reason for the warning. The person also gets a carbon copy.

Like I was nice enough to give a 5 day warning to correct defect to a gentleman on his defective muffler and headlamp, he decieded to blow it off and not take it seriously even though I told him twice we checked up on our warnings. Now he owes the state of wisconsin $300 some dollars. And to think, all he had to do was get a new $5 bulb, and get the hole that he drilled in the muffler to make it sound "cool" covered.

OK I figured I should have gotten a copy. Do warnings stay in forever?
