Building my new teksid motor for a Whipple 3.4, realistic 700whp goals. Might put race gas in it one day, but lets not plan on that just yet.

Going to be opting for the H13 tool steel wrist pins on Diamond pistons, but what wall thickness should I be going with, without being overkill?

They offer, 0.155", 0.185", 0.200"

Thanks!

I'd go with the .200. The pins take a lot of abuse from what I hear. The weight savings aren't worth the cons of a lighter pin IMO.

And if they offer a "super polished" finish on the pins I would go for it. Even the ends are perfectly smooth where they contact the circlips.

Id talk with someone at diamond if its something you want an answer to. 95% of the people on this forum including myself arent knowledgeable enough to answer questions like this.
