Cool gun. My friend's dad is getting one. We plan on taking it coyote hunting. I'll get pics/vids when we do.
Should be. Josh (the afore mentioned friend) shot an antelope with one and it didn't blow up. He hit it in the shoulder and spun it around 180 degrees.
I don't know if it's that exact 50, he said his dad is getting a Ferret (no, not a Barret). He said it's a 50 with an AR upper. I'll see if I can't find a picture on the internet.

The bullets the troops in Iraq are shooting travel at 3240 fps when they leave the muzzle, and not too far under at 200 yards. Of course, that varies based on the weight of the bullet and the length of the barrel.
The troops also use 5.56x45 NATO, which is the same size bullet as .223 Remington, but have higher chamber pressures (which will blow up a gun rated for .223 and not 5.56), resulting in more FPS.

Of course, that's like a 55 grain bullet compared to a 600+ 50 BMG round. 2700 ft lbs is cooking for a bullet that size.

I personally like the Windrunner's, they are the most accurate .50 I have ever fired. But I have no experiance with the Ferret.
