would it make a big difference if a switch wheels at the track?
i currently have 18x10.5 chrome wheels with MT DRs 305s and i want to get 17x9 chrome wheels with ET streets for the track

any input would help thanks

Ive been a big fan of the ET street tire every since the first time I put them on my cobra. But I dont go to the track. Alot of the guys I kno who do race run the G-force DR's and have good results. To me It all really depends on if youre still running IRS or If you went with SRA. If running IRS on the track, you may start running into problems if you have too sticky of a tire.

Neg...my irs has tons of passes on it all on 17 inch et streets and its bone stock with a irs brace...et streets do wonders for the irs

ET Streets have a taller side wall and will help at the track better and is the only tire I have used without issues. When I went drag radial I started to brake half shafts and other parts because the tire wasn't absorbing some of the abuse like the et street does on a hard launch...

Is it ok to run 18's in the front and run 17's in the rear for more sidewall?

Ya see people do it all the time even 16’s the tire size will be about the same height or even taller in the rear with ET Streets then the 18's up front..

I have noticed a tall sidewall seems to help with IRS at the track
