add a couple * of timing on my Xcal and throw some 100 or 104 in the gas tank for a trip down the track? My current street tune is set on 14*, couldnt I add say 2 * to that and put the higher octane fuel in the tank and be Ok or not?

I wouldnt see any reason it would give any problems 14* is a safe number on pump gas and then 2* more on race gas shouldnt ping
Shouldn't be a problem at all, but your best bet is to get a wideband A/F gauge just to be safe.
