I'd forget the tv and build your kid a pitcher's mound in the backyard.
We are soccer players haha.
Worth it, not gonna upgrade this again until the next decade.
Nah, I have an original xbox one. Gonna wait till they upgrade the next gen with an X. LolSo next year, eh?
Haha
Damn did not see this thread until to late! But I have a LG C8 OLED and testing playing around with the new Sony A9G OLED both are 65". I have had LEDs in past and imo OLEDs are very hard to beat for overall picture, especially the new Sony with its upscaling for sdr content. HDR 4k images are stunning as well, and again the Sony overall to me has the better picture over my year old LG. For HDR gaming the LG C8 and C9 are the 2 best in that department. But hope you like the QLED, they do get super bright which sometimes is ok or rather annoying.
Congrats to OP but not a fan of QLED. THE LG C8 is more on par with what I have, the Sony A8. The Sony Sony A9 is better but so is the LG C9. Both are also higher priced. Both still have even better lines with Sony having the master ZF line and LG having the E9 series. The LG C8 is an awesome OLED TV. Anyone thinking about buying either the LG or SONY, I don’t think you will be disappointed.
For you SVTP BALLERS, Sony has the 8K Z9G Master line out. 98 inch TV now is $65,000-70,000. Samsung also has a model comparable.
I looked at the LG C8 and it was a good bit more expensive (~$700 more) for a smaller TV. I am sure sometime down the road that may be an option but right now having just bought a new washer and dryer and 4 BFG K2Os I am broke so $2K was all I had to spend.
That's a great price, when I went to Costco the c9, same size is about $3100. I think it's gotten down to 2600 tho.5 days left on sale $1,749

OP, why oh why ask all of these questions, have everyone tell you it's worth it, and then buy the complete opposite?
You're being a real RDJ right now.
Nice purchase otherwise. I did like the QLED but I'm telling you, the LG OLED is uber elite.
You should have upped your budget by a grand or so and picked up a 77" OLED.
There is NO comparison between OLED tech and QLED tech. QLED is a gimmick which might make the picture better vs a regular LED tv, but nothing compared to the OLED displays.
All that being said, I'm sure you'll be happier with the larger TV. when it comes to good picture quality and larger screen size vs best picture quality and smaller screen size, I always go for the bigger picture. lol
If I had time to save and research I would have. Unfortunately this was an "emergency" situation. In the past month I spent $2000 on a new washer and dryer, $1200 on new tires, and $1K on a beach trip. All I had cash for was $1500 but stretched it to $2K. No way I could of come up with another $1K for OLED. If I had a month or two to plan would of been a different story.
You know, porn isn’t better in 4K. Some things are better in low def, whether it’s its a slightly alcohol- blurred vision, or dim lights cause she’s a skank, or broken cougar.....***EDIT**** The QLED 75” was on sale so got that.
So my 2yr old threw a toy and broke our 10yr old Samsung 58" Plasma. So it's time to buy a new family room TV. I had planned to get a Samsung LED 75" 8 series TV and be done with it. Then I saw that I could get a smaller 65" QLED for the same price. I know the differences between the 3 but was wondering if going 10" smaller is worth it for the "better" Technology.
We have a 60" LED in the bed room and it seems great for the Kids shows that are about the only thing watched on it.
What say ye ole wise SVTP?
