Well. I got the ping fixed so I thought I would try my luck down at the track. First time with my pulleys and here's how it went:

60' ... 2.306
1.8 ... 8.836 @ 88.15
1/4 ... 13.205 @ 114.57

I did better than this stock! I hate the track that I raced at though. Only got one run in because some ricer blew his car up on the track so I was sitting in line for 2 hours. I didn't get any staging time because they were trying to get people through. As soon as I lined up the lights started to drop. I did get a 0.17 R/T though... I was spinning the tires all the way down the track. You could hear them spinning and even at the top of the track my spedo read higher than 114. So I think its time for me to get some traction.

2.306 60'! Its like I pulled over and took a nap before finishing the race :cuss: Next time I'm going to a better track. Still, very disappointed in my times :(

Don't beat yourself up so bad.

One run does not tell the story.

With that power you can easily pull a 1.8-1.9 60' time, that alone will reduce your et to a 12.2 to 12.4, much better than your 12.8 stock et.

Even with a 2.0 you would have run a 12.6.

Next time out with traction you might see 11s.:)

Good luck,

Howard

With these cars it's all about the first 60 feet. I stilll need to drop mine in the 1.6's if I ever want to see low 11's.

Yep look at my sig, its the first 60, if I learn to launch and get my 60 down I will see at least 12.2's-12'4's, when you up the power its harder to get traction. I haven't tried since it cooled down here in CA, waiting on my Cable Quadrant (?) and firewall adjuster and my Apten Ported Eaton and hopefully get to try again before Carlsbad closes down

Yeah, I had the same situation you had at a crappy track and could only get one run in, 12.64 @ 114 or something. Then I went to a real track and ran 12.1x-12.2xs all day. I had a best of 12.09 @116. I got a 1.85 60 ft though...that's the key.

Hate to say it but you might want to get the compression checked. if youve had pinging it could have done some damage.

Your traps seem low is why I say that. I trapped a best of 97 mph with less mods. Everybody that said 60's is key is dead on too. My first time at the track with my setup I ran a 2.3 on the first pass which got me a 8.3. Still got it at 94mph though. Got it down to 7.9's by the end of the night.

Second trip got the hang of the nittos and ran 1.8-1.90 60's(still not great) all night and 7.6's.

Are you power shifting? You wont get the times you want with out it and some rubber! Good luck.

i know the feeling man, since the 2.93 pulley i've been pulling some low 13s (worst was a 13.6) do to MAJOR traction issues. :/

best so far was a 12.69 @ 117 on a 2.15 short (running 285/40 GS-D3s. i need slicks. :/

Sup killa. How you like the GS-D3's? My buddy is wanting some real good street tires. He totaled his first cobra on nittos and swears it was the tires. It was in the rain.
