World's Fastest Shelby GT350 takes on a C7 Z06!

This is the worlds first F1a Procharged Shelby GT350. It has ARH Long Tubes, OEM mufflers, Fore fuel system and runs on E85. It was built by Cordes Performance Racing and put down 923 rwhp on the stock bottom end. This is the worlds highest horsepower Shelby GT350. In this video it takes on a C7 Corvette Z06 in a half mile drag race at at Shifts3ctor's California Airstrip Attack. Enjoy.

What that Z06 stock? I'll admit, I was expecting the GT350 to run a little faster.

Edit: Not saying the GT350 is slow, but with almost 1000hp and I assume able to turn 8+K rpm, I just figured it'd run a little quicker.

Anytime I read a forum post with "World's first..." or "World's fastest..." I laugh. A lot.

It reminds me of the running joke that every hole-in-the-wall seafood restaurant on the East Coast has on their sign and menu: "World's Best Crabcakes"

Most people boosting the 350 only run to 7k for longevity purposes. Lethal and Hellion both did this. Most of the Procharged cars do the same that I have seen.

It was only a half mile. 169MPH in a half mile isn't bad. Some of the 1000+RWHP Gallardos and GTRs "only" hit 175 in the half. It probably would've been faster if it didn't have the R wing on the back.

That Z06 is obviously modded, and if you listen, you'll hear that it has an automatic transmission.

IDK. My 950-1,000 AWHP GTR does 185 in the standing 1/2 mile. I've also seen most 1,000 RWHP vettes and Caddies hit high 170s in the 1/2. I'm thinking that GT350 was on a happy dyno.

It does sound absolutely amazing though. Love it!

I think the AMP 1100hp C7Z did 182.

Good run, the GT350 does sound amazing and hats off to Ford for building a strong ass stock engine.
