Hey-I've looked on this board and haven't been able
to find a comparison or opinions on what pulley to
run "when you have gears" such as my 4.10's. I went
with the 2.93 vs. 2.80 for that reason cause of the
higher RPM's. I must say the car pulls like crazy and
I am very happy that I went with 4.10's but would like
opinions on going from the 2.93 to the 2.80 keeping in
mind that I have 4.10's.

I'm pretty sure that with the 2.8 pulley, you'll need to shift before the 1350' mark if you don't have to now. Someone with more drag experience can post...

There is even a breakdown on rpm vs gear to help.

I think the reason you don't see alot of opinions is that is alot of gear for this car. can't imagine running those gears myself. This thing has enough power to roast the tires with 3.27 or something smaller like that...lol. I'd stick with less boost.

Ya know-I just don't know why many don't want the gears.
I love 'em especially at my altitude of 5000 ft where you loose
1-2 lbs. of boost. Maybe at sea level it makes sense but up
where I live-gears are a must for this car with high revs. For
some it might be just to much work pulling the whole rear out
of the car although I noticed when guys switch to a diff axle
set up they gear 3.90-4.10. Also look at some of the time slips
that have been posted with the 4.10's (Hi-Mid 11's ain't bad).
Again I think the 2.93 was made for the 4.10 especially up
at higher RPM's & above sea level conditions.

no offense but many have ran mid low 11's with stock 3.55's! the 2.80 will add more torque which with 4.10's wouldn't be ideal imho. Unless you have some real sticky tires? good luck man!

How much does it cost to buy 4.10's, have them installed and do whatever you need to to sync the speedo?
