Im wondering if a t-45 and 10.5" clutch will work on a 2001 cobra motor. Im debating swapping in a 2001 engine into my 1997 gt? Also does anyone know what ignition systems I can use on this motor, ie use 97 coil packs with plug wires. or do these motors require cops? Thanks for the help.

with my cobra engine im running my T-45 with a 10-spline and 10.5 clutch. not sure what ignition system you should run. i dont see why you wouldnt be able to use your wires and coil packs. not 100% sure on that though.

i don't see why the 10.5" wouldn't work. what flywheel are you using? also, are you talking about the dual coil setup(4 wires on each). you can use that, but keep in mind the valve covers on an 01 will have those large gaps and stuff for the coil packs...

Should. You'll need the cobra's flywheel as the one of your GT won't work.

The motors don't require COPs, no, but the valve covers will look goofy.

If you are putting the t-45 in your 97 gt you will have to take the tail housing off the t-45 and swap the exiter ring for the plastic speedo ring. Its the one on the tail shaft that turns the little gear on the sensor.
