Like others have said, Communism is good in THEORY, but due to human nature it just wont happen. However, I would be more reluctant to say that Communism is what we are saying is a good idea. Marxism is a good idea, as that is what Communism is based off of. Communism fails because of the human quest for power. What is supposed to happen is that after a government is overthrown by the working class and everyone is on an equal plane, there is supposed to be a temporary govt setup to bring order back. Once order is restored and everone is working for the community, instead of themselves, then the government steps down and becomes just another part of the working class, as is everyone else. Man's greed and lust for power shoots this in the foot though. Look at Lenin, Stalin, and Trotsky. They were supposed to step down, but decided they liked power and decided to run with it. Unfortunately, corruption ultimately followed. Read the Communist Manifesto by Marx. Quite a good read. It would all be nice if we could follow through with the Manifesto and live as Marx invisioned. Too bad we're all too ****ed up to do that :).
