My 03 has seemed to develop a weird intermittant clicking noise.

sounds like: click click click.... click... click click... click.. click click click

It's most noticable at idle, and when decellerating out of gear.

On the road, you can't hear it at all.

I removed my blower belt, and the sound went away.

I checked all the idler pullies, and they seemed fine.

Anybody have something similar?

:nonono:

i had the same problem with my bassani midlengths on the GT......ended up being a header bolt that backed off. tighten em all down and that should solve the problem

Removing the blower belt solved the problem.

How could it be the header bolts?

well if the blower belt solved your problem then great, cuz that sound is annoying as hell
i was just saying that i had a similar experience with my GT and it just happened to be caused by a header bolt backing off and the header wasn't flush so the exhaust was escaping there.

I had a problem with the lower crank pulley on my 03. It is held on by three rubber bushings. It was totally wore out. Taking off the belt you should be able to tell if that is the problem.

How would I be able to tell?

If you take the belt off. The pulley would be hand loose. Ford replaced mine on the 03 at 10k miles.
