Widening SVTPP wheels

I'm looking to to get wider wheels for my car to fit more rubber and give me some more tire sizes as well. But one option I was thinking of is to widen the stock wheels in the rear; thinking about 10.5-11.

Has anyone done this? What are your experiences? How wide did you go and what type of clearance issues did you run into?

I was going to widen the svtpp wheels... But you can put 305/35/20 drag radial on the back to help with traction issue without widen it, the $500 plus round trip shipping not really worth an inch of width. So I just have them powder coat to silver.
