Hey guys, I guess im gonna pick up my 3 gauge pillar pod sometime soon and I was wondering about widebands. I already have the column pod with a autometer ultra lite boost gauge in, so I was leaning towards staying with the ultra lite series for all the other gauges besides the aeroforce. I plan on getting a trans temp, wideband, and oil pressure for the pillar. Has anyone used the autometer wideband, if so what do you think of it? Also I was wondering when instaling the O2 sensor for the wideband do I drill and weld a new bung on the exhaust for it, or turn off the rear O2's and plug one side with a bolt and use the wideband O2 on the other side? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

IMO do it right and go with the tested and known good LC-1. Ive had mine in for a few months now and its AWESOME, I installed it on the steering pod .

I had an exhaust shop weld in the new bung supplied with the LC-1 kit. The instructions call for the new o2 to be within 18" of the head as well as installed as high up toward the top of the piping as possible to avoid moisture.

I just installed my AEM wideband yesterday. Very easy to hook up with only 2wires to tap. Verified that my A/F is right on @ 11.6!!

Here is info on where to have the bung welded into the exhaust.

Thats a sweet setup right there, I think thats the way im gonna go as soon as I decide which wideband. Did you have to get any add ons to make the aeroforce read trans temp coolant temp and the intake temps?

the aeroforce gauge can measure trans temp, so no point in wasting a gauge spot for it. and the aeroforce doesn't need any add-ons to read trans/coolant or intake/charge temps.

as for the a/f sensor, you have to drill and tap another hole in your exhaust. autometer has a write up on it with the instructions for the gauge.
