I was just wondering why does everybody wanna put suspension on their contours? I could understand better if it was a high performance car. Is there something i'm missing?

It's not a performance sedan? No offense...but not everything is about RWD V-8 muscle. It's very obvious why people would want to put a better suspension on it, just like modifying anything else they want to make it better.

The SVT is a VERY good handling sedan, especially for being FWD. Some autocross their cars and obviously the springs/struts really help. I think MOST people do suspension work on the SVT simply for the looks though.

Here are couple reviews:

Yup, I can vouch for that. The SVT Contour is by far the best handling front wheel drive car I've ever been in. The only way you could even tell it's front wheel drive is by the occasional torque steer.
