[QUOTE="Gibs07GTcpe, post: 11499665, member: 51776"] Well back in the 60's shelby had the cars and modded them put his name on them and the rest is history, now when he did the Shelby GT he got them and modded them and sold them as Shelby's. The Shelby GT is more of a true Shelby than the GT500, sorry GT500 owners not trying to start anything, But the SGT at least goes to SAI in Vegas and got converted. Therefore it would be more of a Shelby than just the name. I like the look of the SGT but wasn't going to put out the extra cash and markup for it at the time. The Orange and the Vista Blue coupe are sexy. The SGT was available with a S/C on it. You had to order the car with it, I think that was 08 and Shelby would install and it was warrantied also if I remember correctly. I think they were to test the market for the GT350, and they got a great response. If someone chooses to pay the money to buy the car like the SGT from the lot, so be it...it is their money and maybe they don't have the knowledge or abilities to mod a regular GT. If it upsets you that they wasted their money, your worrying about the wrong things. There are a hundred "Tuner" S197 versions out there, and all of them were priced similar depending on total options. Nobody is bitching about Steeda or Saleen or Roush....Just my opinion.
