Why is this site so slow now?!?!?!?

Man, it takes 30-45 seconds for a post to go through. When I click on an email link, it takes up to a minute. Opening threads is even longer.

I am using a cable modem...what gives???:??:

I was at another web site that was slower then this. they told the people to right click and save. and after that the site was fast

There are a couple reasons for it:

1) We have had more than our normal amount of people on during peak times.

2) I have not been keeping up on the database as much as I should during the last week.

I don't blame you, Steve. 4th of July is a big vacation time of year. I'm dreaming of Aug. 14 so I can forget about my business for a week and go on vacation with my family. This site's popularity is a mixed blessing...

Good point, well said.

Unfortunately as Steve mentioned about peek times, it seems the only peek time for me is 5-6AM before I leave...

Oh well, I'll live.
