I've gotten used to being the only one around who can't stand our current voting situation, and therefore actually refuses to take part in it. It's the most non - democratic "vote" I can even imagine. Especially since both candidates are so SIMILAR.

So who's voting third party? This system can only last so long. I'm not saying it will end this election, or 5 from now, but maybe my kids (or grandkids) will have a true choice.

I have been rallying support for people to vote for ANY third party candidate in hopes that when they tally everything up it will send some sort of message that the two party system is a joke. It is pretty much a pipe dream but at least I am trying something.

If you vote third party this election, you're pissing your vote away. I wish we could get a strong third party contender, but it's too late for this one.

See this idea is the problem. YOU'RE pissing you're vote away. Aside from what you've heard on TV - what are some major differences between McCain and Obama? Have you read the policies? Have you compared how McCain acted (bailout) to his supposedly conservative image?

It's the same! The two parties are the same!

I totally agree. Playing the "lesser of two evils" card is a lame excuse.

Vote for whoever you think would be the best President, even if they are from a 3rd party. It's the only way things are going to change.

Its that attitude that gets socialists elected. This is not the election to choose the best candidate. Wake up

every election is the election to choose the best candidate!

do you even read what you write? it doesn't make a bit of sense.

You voted for someone who has no shot at winning and will prob never have a shot at winning as long as theres a repub/dem. I live in reality.

I'd rather vote for someone that I actually WANT in office, than some asshat that I hate.

This is the only way we are ever going to get away from this stupid two party system. If we continue your way of voting, NOTHING with EVER change. If that means we need to elect some dumbass to get everyones attention, then so be it. Maybe next time, we'll get the right person in office. Think long term.

Do you think our founding fathers would be happy knowing that you voted for the lesser of two evils?

+1, If you "Vote" lesser of two evils then next election you will be voting lesser of two even worse evils. It's a black hole unless you do something to get out of it.

Well we can thank Obama supporters and 3rd party supporters for allowing him to win this election. I am thinking long term, Im thinking Nov 5 when they announce his name on TV as President Obama

The fact that everything posted here in the last 5-10 months about Obama has not made you want to have the guy with the best shot at beating him win, is beyond me

Or you can thank the Republican party for nominating a clown.

That is he a socialist? As is McCain. Nobody besides yourself is worried that he is an illegal alien secret member of the Taliban.

Aside from the fact that if the 60% of Americans who feel like both candidates are poor choices voted for a third party, that party would be the majority, how do you feel about the idea that maybe NEXT election, or the one after even, someone we actually like will be in office? Why pretend you support something you don't? Don't tell me about Socialism, because I am the one sticking up for what I believe in - true conservatism, true classical liberalism (look it up). And how is McCain not socialist? Because he says he's not? YOU wake up, you're reality is a fake - doctored by the parties that own the media. And you probably think we live in a Democratic country, to boot. Think of how many lives we've taken spreading democracy, yet we really have no choice on our home turf. I'm not going to be forced to vote for the lesser of two evils, because I do not support evil.

You really should just shut-up. You are making yourself look like a complete moron.
People like you are the reason why yet again an idiot will be our next President.

You vote for the best candidate and if everyone did this I bet we'd be in for a nice surprise.
