Damn this is an old thread! 6 years, active duty, USMC. Got out about 12 years ago.
USMC 93-03. I was in the Infantry, then went on Embassy Duty(MSG) and guarded a few dignitaries, POTUS, SOS and then had to lat move to the 5831/32 field. I got out as a SSgt and could have been a Gunny in another year.
US Army 4 years 14S Avenger crewmember. I got out as an E-4 Corporal.
Eight years Air Force Here. Armament Systems F-16
10yrs as an enlisted Navy Intelligence Specialist (IS), 3910 and 3905 NEC doing imagery analysis and HUMINT collection.
Tours: Hawaii, Philippines, Hawaii
Currently working for Boeing under contract to the Government.

It was one of my dreams to fly Navy. Then I got turned down for the USNA, so I figured that was out of the question

The academy isn't the only way to become a Navy pilot. I went the NROTC route. There is also OCS. Those are the three basic entrance points for Naval Aviation.

21 years in the Air Force as a Munitions Systems Tech (461/2WO). Now a GS-12 testing software for the Dept. of the Air Force.
