1 mile is 6:31 as of thursday.

A 4:30 mile is damn impressive. You must have been running your entire life.

having one leg longer than the other totally ****ed my ability to run long distances, or long distance efficiently. In the best shape of my life I could run and my back and chest would get to pounding up and down like I had an extra 100lbs on top of my head. I felt pretty good for a mid 7 mile. Slowing down not for wind, but to let my body stop aching.

My best 5k time at high school semi-state was 16.31 on a very hilly course with alot of trails. In track, the best 1 mile was 4:40, but the 2 mile was my better event, 9:56. I didn't even start running until the end of my freshman year in track. I had played soccer for years prior.

Same here, I'm around 6 something if I'm feeling good, running long distance is the worst thing ever. I have to run around cones set 88ft apart 15 times there and back(1/2 mile) in 4:27 for the state police, try it sometime its hard.

100m: last years best- 12.39 this year- hoping for <12.5
This year, if I can get out of the blocks, and then obviously gain some more speed and endurance, I'm hoping to dip down into mid to high 11s... somewhere around 11.7

800m: last years best- 2:19 this year- hoping for 2:30 or less! at the first meet- it's Thursday.

mile: idk... I am thinking of trying that closer to the end of the season, when I'm in shape.

 no shit. dude you can friggin run.

I hate running and cardio more than goin to the dentist. Least fav part of my workout by far. I run on a treadmil or at the local HS track for 7:30 mile 2-3 times a week. I can get a 2 mile in about 16 min and after that I just fall over and die. lol

But I can pick up very heavy things....... :rolling: (lifting is my fav. part of my workout. I dread the cardio at the end)
