SANTA ROSA, CA- November 1, 2003. Flowmasters new Super 40™ mufflers are specifically designed for use on high horsepower, small and big block V8 engines. Developed during extensive testing on the dyno, street and track, we have found that our new Patented Super 40™ mufflers flow significantly higher while producing the same scavenging effect our traditional mufflers are known for. The Super 40™ is built with a 5.00 X 10.00-inch case and the design gives you a deeper tone but retains our “Classic” 40 Series™ sound and feel. The Super 40™ is available in all inlet/outlet offsets in diameters of 2.25, 2.50 and 3.00-inch.
The increased Flow Path Radius of the Super 40™ offers optimum internal flow using the latest in our patented Delta Flow® technology. These mufflers are manufactured on Flowmaster’s state-of-the-art robot assembly line to ensure a product that exceeds OEM auto manufacturers’ specifications.
To achieve such critical quality, Flowmaster performs extensive R&D at the track and in-house with our own engine and chassis dyno facilities.
Flowmaster is aware of sound control issues and what our customers want, so our Super 40™ muffler is the most aggressive, deepest sounding street two-chamber muffler Flowmaster has ever built. The Super 40’s™ dyno-performance is so impressive that we now include the Super 40’s in our 3-inch muscle car kits for Mustangs and Mopars where space is an issue. In testing on our chassis dyno we have seen dramatic horsepower improvements on modified engines in these models of up to 55 horsepower and 41 pounds/feet of torque at the rear wheels!
