Who can't stand the original interior? Have you changed it?

So as the title goes, I can't stand the original interior of the 2003-2004 Cobra's and would considering getting one, but the interior is the biggest thing holding me back.

Has anyone here retrofitted a new or different dash to their Terminator? Or what changes have you made to make the interior not as dated and seemingly cheap appearing (to my self.)

I'm not an "all-original" must be "factory-spec" kind of guy. I know what I like and I don't really care how I get it lol

If you happen to have pictures, please post them up. I know I'd love to see the changes you've made and maybe that'll help out some other current owner or prospective buyers.

I would love to wrap all surfaces with same colored soft materials. Maybe leather or something to match the seats.. The hard plastic/cheap feeling really bugs me. My biggest gripe is the shifter location. I'm 5'6" and it seems like its just too much a reach. Should be farther back IMO. Other than that I like it.

Glad to see I'm not alone.

My thought was a couple Sparco buckets, black carpet and Alcantara the dash, and get a different shifter and knob.

It isn't bad until you sit in a newer car and get back in the terminator. Then it hits you that " man this thing is getting old" seats are good but, shifter position sucks and too much plastic. Essentially the same since 1994.

Compared to the gt interior the cobra was a big upgrade. The seats with the gray suede inserts have great support. The only thing I would want to upgrade would be the cluster and the color of the backlighting on the hvac controls and interior lights.

Absolutely. And my apologies if i put anyone off, the interior doesn't work for my tastes, doesn't mean it doesn't work for others.

For the time and job, it did it well.

I've been spoiled to been exposed to a lot of different vehicles, and I always think "what would I pull from X to Y to make me love it" and it spills over into my car hobby hahah

Is there and way to wrap the dash with a nice stitched leather? A mgw Orange handle with the comfort stick makes for a short throw and reduce the reach a ton for the shorter fellows.

Theres a thread in the Pics and Vids section a guy did Italian Leather in his OW Cobra, looked great. Can't remember his screen name or if he did anything to the dash.

I'll see if I can dig it up.

The interior doesn't bother me, but it is dated.

getTwisted I'm not sure if that is your cobra, but a couple months ago I was image searching terminators and came across that one and it has been my background ever since. Just waiting for the day when I can afford a termi

I personally like the 1994-2004 interior, with a new shifter / steering wheel / seats carbon fiber or silver dash trim I Think they look badass and the 2011-2014 I like alot.

I've been in a 2013 Boss 302 and GT500, and loved the new interior, wouldn't mind getting one of those interiors retrofitted into a Terminator.

heres some cosmetic things you can do on your car that look amazing on 1994-2004 cars, cobras already have the nice gauges seats and shifter stock, but you can always do carbon fiber dash trim, or fr500 steering wheel or anniversary , heres some pics of some members cars and Ill post some of my with carbon fiber trim. makes them look alot nicer, I personally love the cockpit style in the 1994-2004 .can do new gauges , newer/ custom seats, touch screen head unit so its more modern. heres some below of head unit, seats, gauges, dash trim ideas. the silver and carbon fiber dash trim will set the all black dash apart. I like the silver bezel and carbon fiber bezel trim.
