Hey guys. Went to put long tubes on and notices my exhaust ports are white. Now normally white exhaust ports mean lean or running hot. Now my charge temps have been hitting 140 which isn't too bad . But I've been running 100 octane only for about 1000 miles at this point . Can the higher octane gas cause this? That's sort of what I was thinking because my air fuel is great and there's no spark knock or misfires and only 12 degrees timing. Been running 11.5 psi.

What octane are you tuned for?

We initially tuned it doing 6 gallons of 91 and the rest 100. But we've data logged / dyno'd with that mix and straight 100 full tank and it's been fine A/F wise.

So given the A/F has been safe (around 12) and timing was 12, and no spark knock or misfire, it's the only thing I could think of creating that white color.
