Are you whipple 2.3 guys posting numbers in STD or SAE?
Just trying to see where mine stands.
my uncorrected numbers (std) were 581hp/528torque. Corrected (sae) was much lower at 569/518.

My mods:
Whipple 2.3 with 3.0 pulley (shows 16lbs on Autometer boost gauge)
Bassani offroad x
bassani catback
LFP single blade throttle body
JLT Next Gen High boost intake
60lb injectors
KB BAP
SCT3000

Sounds about right for 16 psi. Gen 1 whipple? Put a lower on it.....18-19psi and that thing would rip!

std is not uncorrected, it is a form of correction just like sae. however, it does show slightly more than sae, usually around 2.5-3%. sae is the typical correction people will post

i would imagine the true "actual" or uncorrected number was probably pretty low, especially if this was hot/humid se texas. both sae and std would be considerably higher than uncorrected in those conditons

How much timing? Mine made 570/530 on 17* and 607/575 with 21* so your number seem on par... My Gen 2 whipple sees high 16 PSI on a 3.00"

I do not know the timing. My 2.3 is a Gen2.

Good to know my car is normal. I keep seeing 600+ so I was a little worried something may be wrong with my setup.

Thanks for all the clarification.

All dynos apply correction factors.
The 2 most common standards are SAE J1349, often referred to as " corrected ", and SAE J607, sometimes known as " STD ".
OEM's will almost always quote J1349 corrected #'s, which are typically about 4 % lower than J607.

jeez now it's 4% difference between STD and SAE. It's not that much, but every dyno is different. lol.

And if it makes you feel better I went 10.98@127 @ 570 RWHP as well.

So how does a car that has the same mods i have, have almost 30 hp and 20tq than mine on the same amount of boost?

http://www.svtperformance.com/forum...0th-anniversary-silver-16k-miles-whipple.html

every dyno is differrent

engine temps, baro readings, coolant temps, humidity, every car is different...

the guy could have lied on his post

my car made on 2 different dynos but the same kind 2 different numbers.

i made 615 rwhp and 589 rwtq on one dyno and the other i made 630 rwhp and 595 rwtq. 2 different days about 3 weeks apart.

my car had a gen 2 whipple with a 3.00 upper and 4lbs lower. made 21 psi of boost and timing between 17-21 degrees. i had 2 different tunes from 2 different tuners and they both netted about the same in hp and tq.

dont stress on the numbers so much.... dyno= tuning tool unless you are a keyboard racer....
