About to get deployed, so won't have a lot of time to research, while i'm gone, having a turbo kit put on my 03 cobra. I don't really know which turbo to go with, kinda been bouncing between the turbonetics GT-K 850 and GT-K 1000 ball bearing turbo, the 1000 has an a/r of .96 and 76mm compressor, the 850 is a .81 a/r with a 72 compressor. I want damn near full boost by 3500, worried the .96 is going to be too laggy, any insight? All i need is 650-700 rwhp, this is a street car, i don't need 800 hp. I just want quick spool and something that will take me to 650+. And i know i can do that with a KB but i want turbo. can't beat the sound of spool, and a blow off valve

Go with the GTK850. The GTK1K spools pretty well but if your looking before 3500 you need the smaller ar with a little smaller wheel.

Right now I am seeing spool a lttle later than 3500 about 3800ish with the GTK1k.

if your not going to go push it much over 750rwhp I would go with a billet 67mm specifically the 6769s, it will spool crazy fast and be a ton of fun on the street

what size a/r is that? i just don't want to go too small to where it spools up crazy fast but can't push any more air after 5500rpms, any bod on here running that turbo?

Thats why the billet wheels are so nice...they are smaller and lighter but because they have smaller hub they flow more than a cast 67mm wheel! I'm wanting one myself
