In between Diablosport Predator ($270) and SCT Bama tuned ($380), I have a
99 cobra with 4.10 gears, JLT intake, Flowmaster catback, subframe connectors,
and a short shifer. Probably doing hpipe and Pulleys eventually but that's it. Probably never run boost. Not looking for custom dyno tune just canned. I have a Predator for my Hemi truck and it woke it up, which one would be a good choice taking price and tunability in mind? And opinions are appreciated thanks

I'm partial to the SCT. I got a Livewire and it is awesome. What is nice about the SCT is the free tunes for life from BAMA. They can also make your tune as custom as they can if you do datalogging and send it back to them. Also, once you do more bolt-ons, they can send you new tunes. Well worth the money.

I'm in the same situation that you are and I've read through countless threads about these. I'm going to go ahead with the SCT and BAMA tunes soon; everyone seems happy and the customer service is reportedly excellent.

Don't know if its any help but after reading a ton for the past week I'm confident its a great route to go.

I hate my diablo sport tuner. I went with it because it was cheaper. Didnt notice crap and it actually pings every couple roatations now.

I will eventually get an SCT tuner and blow the diablo sport one apart with my 870.

Yea it looks like everyone likes the SCT programmer. The Predator woke up my Dodge Hemi quite a bit but it's a truck and its got an automatic tranny. I like the fact that AM offers free tunes for life with SCT and it seems lie no matter who you go through its the same price. Anybody have Dyno numbers on a pretty much stock 32valve?

very respectable numbers considering its all motor and very basic and simple "bolt-ons" looking to do the same just basic stuff and reasonable power. Not bad considering a 13 year old car can still run with cars of today.

Bama does tunes for LT's, they just did mine. I setup a new order ticket for my new mods and they emailed me with the tunes in a few hours.

Can they tune with LT's? I know there are some mods they wont do.

Absolutely! Just like someone mentioned above, if the tune is not dead on (there's lots of variables between location/car) you can take a few datalogs to send back to our Bama Team and have your tune dead on!

I am looking for the 300whp mark

CAI, mid-pipe, and a Bama tune should be right there for 99&01 Cobras! Let me know if you have any more questions about our Bama Tunes. I'll be happy to answer them or set you up directly with one of our Specialists!

Decided to go SCT. Predator from Diablosport is going to be discontinued and may be difficult to find when I am ready to buy. Plus I like the fact that BAMA "customizes" tunes based on what you have done to the car and how its free tunes for life. Considering I will be modifying my Cobra the free tunes will come in handy.

It's hard to beat the Bama tunes for life on the SCT. I have the Bama tune on the Shelby and it runs good, puts down really good numbers. I just have a SCT on the 01, it feels like it picked up power and I'm sure I could get a couple more HP with a Bama tuned, but with minimum bolt ons, I'm fine with it.

I like there tune, I can feel a difference between stock and there tune. Easy to feel the difference I have the chip that is shift on the fly... Wish I had the handheld now though as all I change between is theft and my Nitrous tune. Guess they will get another 380 outta me lol.

The customer service is on point too!!!

Thanks for your support guys! I like to pass feedback like this to the whole team, so they can see the image we have in the Mustang community.

Thanks again for your loyalty!

I had a custom tune flashed on my computer and no longer need my predator. But I had no complaints with it for the 7 years I had it.
