I have an 04 mustang gt full bolt on with 125 shot. My maf has died on me and I'm debating on what to put back on out. Either factory or a 90mm from a.m. i never been taught what the different sizes in maf did. I just know bigger is better for boost
If you go with a different MAF you'll need a custom tune to make it work with your set up. The larger MAF's give more range so the MAF doesn't peg. When a MAF pegs it's no longer accurately reading the air flow. The ECU is basically guessing at how much fuel to put in. That could lead to a blown up engine. With my understanding of nitrous you don't need a bigger MAF since the airflow isn't really changed.
