due to running the Aeromotive Eliminator pump i would like to a run either a fuel cooler or a heat sink cooler just to be on the safe side. there are limited options that are specifically labeled as a 'fuel cooler' so i thought about running an oil cooler in place of it. running an oil cooler would allow me to find the size i wanted and could mount it where i intended.
i emailed tech support at summint in reference to the oil cooler i had in mind asking if there would be any concerns running E85 through it and they replied back with " E85 should not be used with aluminum, which is what the coolers are constructed from." i was like ummm, ok that doesnt make sense as my fuel rails are constructed from aluminum, but i know there are different grades of aluminum. so my question is can i indeed run a cooler that is made out of aluminum without any issues. or is there something i dont know about when mixing E85 and aluminum?
i was actually thinking about running this after further searching..
