Im going to be buying Borla ATAK mufflers for my car. Should I replace my over axel pipes as well? The only thing wrong with my Ford pipes are that the Pypes mufflers had to be welded on. With that being said, the brand new Borla axelbacks would have to be welded on as well. Is welding a bad thing? I also understand that the Ford pipes are just bent, and the Borla pipes are mandrel bent. Thank you for your time.

Don't get new OTA's unless they're 3". There is no power to be had from the different bends in the piping if its the same diameter.

Always do over the axle instead of weld in. You can always swap it out and keep your stock mufflers intact.

Thanks everyone. I just bought a new system today. I know I wont see any gains, but I just cant see welding them on. Hell I might not even like the way they sound, and if they are welded, there is no resale value.
