so i did a search already, but came up with not a whole lot. i'm looking for a place to buy a aluminum driveshaft for my 01 cobra with IRS. i really dont want to go through the hassle of cutting and balancing, so i'd like to see if i can buy that fits to spec first. if not, then i'll consider modifying.

You can get a 79-93 aluminum driveshaft and swap the yoke with your stock one.
exactly how much wieght do u save? im looking for one as well. i saw the PST carbon fiber shaft. id like to know frome someone what differences did u feel. already got AL flywheel. sorry to jack ur thread

+1 (Precision Shaft Technologies, Carbon Fiber Driveshafts and Racing Shafts).
I'd recommend getting one of their carbon fiber ones, but they also have aluminum ones. FWIW, my PST CF DS eliminated my high speed vibrations.
i'm not sure if the aluminum driveshafts are more for weight reduction that reducing the rotating mass. im in it for that latter.
excuse the nooby question, but how hard is it to swap the yoke?
I could be wrong, but I'm sure that was his reason for asking.
