Where do I start?

In the next couple of months my parents are getting my younger sister an svt focus (her first car). She has some money saved (a couple thousand) and would like me to do some cheap mods to pick up a little extra horsepower. Any suggestions? Nothing major just little stuff. She doesn't need to be too fast
