I was in high school back then, metal was so much better then. When I hear the new stuff it's just gay sounding to me or just screaming noise. I like some new metal but I just can't get into alot of it.

Could not agree more with this thread. The "woe-is-me, whining" mainstream rock of today is way too annoying.

I listened to a lot of the bands listed here although Metallica dominated my taste back in the day. I have softened a bit in my middle age and listen to old rock like Montrose, Hagar, Van Halen , Led Zep, AC/DC, etc...not thrash but still much better than the sound alike junk of today (damn, I just sounded liie my father when I was young!)

Keep Old School strong men....it is the music that best matches the attitude it takes to own an SVT Cobra!

Pigwalk is a killer cd. I have been a fan for good while now. I don't like the new singer as much as bones, though
